hi e, i was taugth this boogie lick years ago and the guy who showed me said the easy way to do it was to drop the E6 to D, what are the disadvantages of doing that?

could i ask which distortion pedal you’re using to get this sound? I have a Bose Blues Driver, but I never know exactly how to set the gains, level, treble, mids, bass, and all that good stuff. A response, or even a amp/pedal tutorial would be great! Thumbs so E can see!!!
