Would It Be Possible for Me to Teach Myself to Play Electric Guitar?
I want to learn to play electric guitar but I can't afford lessons so I want to teach myself. I already know how to read tabs. Are there any helpful websites that could help me? I want to learn to play rock.

Take a look at this series of video lessons at Youtube. This guy has a series of 12 lessons. He covers the basics pretty well. I think you can pick up a lot of good information from these.

of course its possible. i taught myself, and i am still learning because the internet has a wealth of resources on how to play. just practice everyday and your fingers will get used to the fretboard. you should also learn music theory as it will help you to read music and play with sheet music or guitar tabs. music theory is very helpful to musicians.
Definitely possible. Many do. However you have to be able to catch the most minor mistakes on your own, before they become major problems.
As for websites. Do a search and find the right one for you. There are dozens, and what works for me most likely will not work for you.
Once you find a good site, stick with it.
