Firstly, Ibanez won’t have a Floyd, they will have a Edge Pro, which is Ibanez’s infringement version.
Secondly, when you go there, you say that you want the same guitar that is in the catalog, and at the same price, they have the ability to bargain, and if they want your business they will.
If not, just order it off the catalog.
maybe it comes as an option on some guitars.
It looks unappealing to beginners. Guitar center knows that if someone wants a Floyd Rose they’ll ask for it.
I would call them and ask if they include it before you purchase from them, if they can not give you a reasonable answer then I would take up Classical Guitar where the lack would not be a problem (that is me personally)
Seriously I would go and find somewhere that is selling it with it built in. If you are not sure either ring them and ask or send an E mail for clarification. If you buy it and it does not have it you do not want the hassle of having to return it! and then fighting to get a full refund.
Personally, my advice is, since you’re a beginner, do NOT buy a guitar with a whammy/tremolo bar. Guitars with tremolo bars require CONSTANT retuning, and many of them develop bridge problems, your strings become stretched and thin, your intonation can be messed up, (which is a bitch to fix) and especially with an RG series Ibanez, you’ll want to stick away from whammy bars, as an RG series is not for the sort of soloing stuff you would want a whammy bar for. Depending on your preference for music, you might want to look at a different guitar brand if you absolutely require a whammy. Also, as for installing a tremolo bar into a guitar without it, BAD idea. It’s very expensive to have a professional do it (4-500 dollars) and if you tried doing it yourself, even a professional has a very good chance of ruining the tone of the guitar by installing new hardware into it. My suggestion for a cost efficient, beginner’s guitar with some decent tremolo, would be a Fender. Starcasters are generally cheap, and sound decent for their price. I advise against a telecaster. Stratocasters are ideal for beginning guitarists, as their tone can last you until the day you buy your Gibson. ;D
