ppersonally i like dean flying vs good sound if you listen to michael schenker you’ll know why but it mostly depends on what you want from a guitar alot of people will say a gibson les paul or sg but try using other guitar brands you would be shocked how good they sound also olps are good too but those guitars were just discontinued

    fender

  3. Life's Illusions says:

    Gibson SG.

Think about it, The Gibson SG is the guitar that Angus Young uses! This guitar IS rock!

This guitar never goes out of style, it always looks great. If you buy a Gibson SG, then want to turn around and sell it 15 years from now, it will still look cool!

You can access the upper register of the fretboard easier as well, making it that much easier for you to shred out a solo!

  4. ZEPPELIN OF LED says:

i personally like Les Pauls. they both sound amazing and look pretty!

  5. Keith says:

I personally play Dean guitars and find the necks very user friendly and good for multiple playing techniques be it blues, shredding, or whatever.

  6. Scooter trasH (R.I.P. Les) says:

I have played almost all of them and have different opinions on all of ‘em. but remember, these are my opinions/experiences…your’s will probably differ.

Ibanez used to make a great guitar, low action, fast necks, etc, but every one I have played recently sucks and isn’t set up right.

Jackson, Schecter, ESP and Fernandez sound really good but are pretty much limited to heavier, metal oriented stuff.

Gibson and Epiphone are all around great fucking guitars. I love the sound of an Explorer, LP or SG equally.

My favorite has gotta be Washburn or Dean. I can do damn near anything with them, blues, rockabilly, punk and reggae.

PRS is something I have ever only played in stores because I can’t afford one, but I like the way they sound.

I wouldn’t play a Fender if it fell from Heaven because I absolutely can not stand the sound of them.

As for the best ever…in my opinion it’s my guitar. I love it, I can make it do anything that I want and it’s never let me down. (OS Washburn OE40 arch top)

Go into a guitar store and play all of them. When you find a guitar that feels right in your hands and sounds good, you have found "the best" and price and brand name won’t matter.

I live and breathe guitars so I know a little bit,of course it depends on your style for blues to AC/DC style crunch, and hard rock I would suggest a Gib
