A teacher can direct you towards good habits and away from bad ones. He can tell you how to improve your overall sound/technique in ways you can’t . A teacher is ALWAYS the right way to go.
with a teacher DEFINATELY. i mean, you can learn some notes and maybe a few songs on your own, but learning w/ a teacher will help you in the long run-you will learn good habbits and can catch bad habbits before they are, well….permanent. hope this helped.
it’s probably better to have a bit of both… but if you want try doing it on your own (if your the one wanting to learn) then go ahead, you may have natural talent… although it is good to at least get some kind of book or dvd to show yo u how the notes work and those things… unless you already know..
With a teacher will do two things. It will more than likely increase the speed at which you learn the guitar, and it will also teach you to play the way the teacher does.
I’ve been playing guitar (both electric and acoustic) for about 10years, self-taught apart from a couple of lessons, and I’ve not gotten too far yet, but I play for my enjoyment and I have my own style. I’ve even been complemented on my strumming/picking technique… not sure who influenced it.
It all depends. It depends on your characteristics. If you are patient, and eeager to learn, and fast you may want a teacher. But, if you want to learn at your own pace, and go back and review and are not exactly patient and is easily distracted then I would advise by yourself. Goood Luuck!
with a teacher it is way better because you get one on one attention. i truly reccomend a teacher. if you can’t be with a teacher then get a beginner guitar book from the library or buy one from a music strore.
Choose your style….
Learn to read and write music first.
I prefer solo.
ahaha
Yeah a teacher will just make you suck. Ahaha
BOTH.
by yourself .. depends on your mind .
well im lerning from a teacher who is my cousin but he learned from himself but i think its easier to learn from a teacher
With a teacher always

Both. You learn from a teacher, you practice on your own.
