What Is the Best Kind of Electric Guitar to Buy?

I'm starting guitar lessons soon, and I need an awesome guitar. I'm asking if I should buy a Fender, a Gibson, a Rickenbacker, a Epiphone, etc. . . Also, if you could, could you give me a website that has 1 for a low price. Thanks. :)

The cheapest one!! :-) Squire or Epiphone are very good…
In fact when you are at the beginning you already don’t know what is your particular way of playing, what is your personal style, and then what are your specific needs…
When you buy your first guitar, you already have to think that you’ll change it in a couple of years…

In my opinion, Gibson is the best because I prefer the fixed bridge, single coils, and type of wood like mahogany, that produce a deeper sound. Furthermore, the strings of Gibson guitars are always mounted on the top of the guitar body, rather than through the guitar body, as seen in competitor Fender’s designs and I think it’s better… Even Gibson design is irresistible for me :-)
So, my suggestion is: Epiphone, that is a great Gibson subbrand!!
    Bye!
    Sorry for bad English

If you have the cash a paul reed smith is the way to go.
Well since your just starting out some decent ibanez would also work.

Oh well, if your budget is limited, I think you should buy a Squier or an Epiphone. They’re great guitar for beginners and they are amazing for their prices! If you have enough money for a Fender Stratocaster or a Gibson Les Paul, you should go for them, they are pro guitars!

The thing is, the first guitar that you have isn’t going to be like the others. The expensives guitars have a much more complicated things on sound and tone. You could also buy a PRS. PRS are the types of guitars that Santana uses. Or you can buy an Ibanez or a Jackson for more rock and roll/heavy metal/shred metal, if you want. Depends of styles. But I think a Fender Stratocaster (or a Squier, if you’re on a limited budget) would be cool! That’s the type of guitar that I’m using!

Mac, everyone will have their opinions but I would suggest going to Musiciansfriend.com and looking around. If you select "Guitar" from the top of the page and then "Electric Guitars" from the drop down, and then choose your price range from the left side of the page, you can view only guitars in your budget and there are some very useful customer reviews on the site as well. If you will list your budget here you will get much better answers also. It is impossible to give advice without knowing your price range.

I would suggest Epiphone Limited Edition Riviera Custom P93 Electric Guitar
A set mahogany C-shaped neck provides sustain and playing comfort. Features 3 P-90 dog-ear single-coil pickups for vintage tone. A polyurethane finish and gold hardware give this limited edition Epiphone guitar an uptown look.

This depends on budget, style of music you will use it for, etc. For a starter guitar i would recommend an epiphone les paul, or a fender mexican strat. Don’t get a squier, they suck
