Does it allow both channels to be used simultaneously via ABY?
@nght5tlkr Nope. When you plug the second chanel, it cuts the sound. I’m thinking of modifying it in order to do it. But the easyest way would be buyind a overdrive/distortion pedal, in order to have switchable channel amp.
we would really loved if you demonstrated this drive channel with the strat!
at 4:17 isn’t it amos moses by Primus?
@guerri89 It is! but the song was originally by Jerry Reed.
I can see your cigarettes, Jordan.
What’s up with the same exact riff for 8 bars? kind of annoying.
Good amp review. Like the similar licks for comparison.
@zombielolocaust sure that’s his cigarettes?………

Cool amp but.. i like the Strat hhahaha !!
would this amp do good for classic rock and blues, through an Agile les paul styled guitar?
@WalrusDoom
!
i dont think that anyone would buy a modern vht having in mind that it is of the older vht family (e.g. pitbull or so)
After all ,vht is just a name ,you should listen to the amp to know what you like
i have a modern vht amp and it is awesome ! Of course it sounds nothing like the older vht’s , anyone searching for a classic vht sound should go for a fryette .
@burliufo DEATH TO CHINESE VHT
I own this amp combo version and I recommend it after a few upgrades. For me I changed all tubes to JJ’s and replaced the speaker to a Celestion G12T75. Kicks Ass!
Every demo I hear of this head sounds extremely buzzy and harsh with gain, whereas my Blackstar HT-1 has very smooth, thick distortion …I know the cabinet can make a difference, …I’d like to demo this to see if it’s as buzzy and harsh in real life…
@ridgekarma It is. But this combo is extremely tweakable in order to get a better (rounder) sound. But will never sound like a high gain amp.
Really love mine. Does hard rock all day long with no pedals. You just have to know how to turn the knobs. Will experiment with some different tubes because its so easy to do.
@WalrusDoom you’re just ignorant.
@1990samuxxx Nah I just play American-made amps that don’t sound like refried dog shit

Jesus, did anyone notice how his grin faded to this… “f*** you”-expression at the end? Totally freaked me out, man. Totally freaked me out… Looks like he doesn’t like the camera guy :p
It’s good to see that Wagner shares my point on having to change the plug from one input to the other just to change the channel is completely nonsense
To be honest, I will never understand all these amplifier manufacturers offering all their bedroom amps with unorthodox knobs that alter the tone in a way where anybody can with some search through different pedals if they need to. What’s so difficult on just offering what people like on regular heads on a low-wattage one? :@
@ridgekarma I agree, the demos on youtube make this amp sound horrible. Buzzsaw and fuzzy, not what I would call desirable.
oh yeah!! damn, the last split second, he looks pissed!! like he wants to kill someone!!! evil look!! freaky
I bought a modded version of this amp and the guy who did this, changed it to 10 watts and then did some extra tech stuff to make it sound like an original VHT, but ive never played an original VHT
so I can’t compare, it sounds good though
