The Best Way to Learn to Play ELECTRIC GUITAR?
My parents just got my an electric guitar, but we can't pay for lessons until next year.
soooo............the guitar came with a DVD and I just watch it and tried it...it didn't work. It didnt even show me where the notes are on the actual instrument.
Is there something online (a video or website) that can help me??????

Have you tried guitar tabs? Tabs are sheet music, sort of a "cheating" method to playing songs. Google guitar tabs, they are easy and fun.
I am learning to play acoustic, I just have a book that shows the chords, and I can already play a few popular songs.
Get a book.
