@aldobu1990 No, I don’t think so. I think Takamine uses laminated sides for strength with the preamp. It is just that it is incorrect to say ‘all solid woods’ if the sides are laminate. I think having solid front and back with laminated sides is a sensible idea… and the japanese Takamines have really good build quality.
@Adnamira lol? thats means that lamianted affect the sound of the guitar? what does it do? i am gonna buy one with laminated sides and solid wood front and back? what is gonna affect?
@aldobu1990 My understanding is that solid tops are better for sound, because solid woods vibrate better. The back & sides function more to reflect the sound that the top produces. The sides are obviously the least resonating part of the guitar, so I don’t think the sides being laminated is a big issue, & may be more resilient and stable. I wouldn’t worry about the sides being laminated. My issue is with salesmen not knowing their product. I have an EAN10C – it is brilliant.
@Adnamira thanks mate now i understand
what do you think about the 360sc? will worht than tan 16 it looks way better it just dont hve the cool tube… and the same woods its laminated roswoods sides and solid back and solid top spruce does it worth?
@aldobu1990 I have never played an EF, and I don’t know the pricing, but I think all the Takamine pro series in that range are great value guitars. The CT4B preamp in my EAN seems alright. You can always whack a cooltube preamp later on too.
@Adnamira yeah thats why i want to buy that guitar later on put an cooltube on it and there you go you have a ef360sc better than tan16 *in the matter of look*
and they have the same woods…
takamine makes some really well built, reliable guitars with great tone and playbility. If you’re looking to get a guitar for gigs and performances, this is the line to go with. However to all the guitar enthusiasts, not having a guitar fully made of solid wood always resonates in the back of our heads as we feel the full tone potential is not reached. If you want a all solid wood guitar for around the same price go with Guild GAD series or a Godin (S&P, seagull, norman) guitar
the best ever, beautiful, useful and great sound
@jlim200 I don’t lose any sleep over knowing that the sides on my tak are laminated. I wouldn’t buy a guitar with a laminated top, and probably not one with a laminated back, but laminated sides in combination with a solid back and front makes a lot of sense to me. If they can save the good bits of mahogany for making backs instead of bending them into curves that are stiff and unresonant anyway, then good on them – especially if it is stronger.
ill happily trade my yamaha
is this better than fender?
that guitar looks laminated when the light reflects off it
um dia voltei um modelo TAN16c
@2sun3coast9 That’s gloss
@pacokja
yeah, this is most better than fender acoustic guitars

@addictedtomusic1995 are you kidding? takamine, of course

It sounds great. It looks great. I wish I could afford it.
1:07 Ah -:( thumbs up if you got chills
@nokia633
They can range anywhere from $250 to $2000 but let me tell you personally, it’s an excellent buy. You won’t be sorry buying this instrument. It isn’t a ‘Top of the line’ guitar but the tone and overall quality of it is amazing! Holds tune, sounds great plugged up or unplugged and its an overall beautiful, well made guitar for the price! Check out the Takamine website and if you wanna check out my channel I should have a review on the Takamine eg523 Jumbo series soon.
What is the nut length of this guitar?
