I love the 3 note chromatic things you do instead of just hitting on the notes of the scales only. I’ve been trying to break out of the scale sound for a while and the short chromatic bursts i’ve found are a great way to do it. Great video as always Dave!
When i can i see you live in Portugal?? and i mean doing a solo gig, i already saw you twice with Vai in Casa da Música in Porto, but i not solo..or perhaps doing a workshop or something like that…
Cheers from a Portuguese fan..
move to modes when you have major and minor mastered.
hey dave, I love your phrasing, you’re a master!!, can you recomend a book or a certain player that depelops that phrasing?, I just sound like going up and down the scale and some licks here and there
timing is everything
Sounds great. If there’s one thing I’ve want to be better at, is being fluent. To glide over the fretboard ceaselessly, and without feeling awkward and panicking about where you go next. I can never quite get that flow in my improvising like you can. Your a legend!
I don’t I’ll ever get to doing sweep properly, but it’s something I’l consider to puw into my playing when I’m fluent enough to do it.
holy freaking fuck your solo was amazing
Enjoyed learning the lick, THANKS DAVE!
There’s people with tallent and people with the gift. I believe you have the girft. Amazing
that’s a neat metronome!
OH NO!!!!! NOT DR. BEAT!!!! AHHHHH!! just messin, nice lesson dave
The riff from 4:32-4:35 should be the next lesson! Nice!
What a nice demo at the end! Got some intense Santana Feel at the beginning (Is it the PRS? ;D) and then goes for these rough bluesy riffs which I love so much. I noticed some serious bends in the last videos. You make them look so easy even with just one finger. May I ask which string gauge you are using?
I don’t usually comment on here but that was really great playing at the end.
10-46
oh wow, heard some shades of greg howe there
Thanks for the reply! Would have expected them to be 9 or even thinner… Seems like you have some finger strenght going on… wouldnt wanna get hit by one of those fingers
Love 5:11-5:15
ME GUSTA TU ESTILO TOCAS CHINGON…
5 ESTRELLAS…
look at that PRS wow! i’m subscribin’
That has a nice jazzy feel to it.
hey do you Like PRS better than Ibanez? How is the upper fret access? I wanted to post a guitar video. But with all the great players on YouTube, makes me feel that I can’t play
Amazing Impro, very nice licks!!!
just out of interest, how come your doing the slide in this lick, and not just hammering on and off with the pinky???
spooky.
