Should I Learn the Acoustic Guitar Before I Learn the Electric Guitar?
Hi. I absolutely love the electric guitar. I have decided that I want an to learn to play the electric guitar, but people are saying that I should learn the acoustic guitar first because it makes it easier to play the electric guitar. The thing is that I don't like the acoustic guitar even half as much as I like the electric guitar. What should I do?

Yes for some people it can be easier to transition from Acoustic to Electric.
However I don’t think it really matters all too much. Yes the acoustic guitar requires a little more hand strength because the strings are harder to push down.
But if you aren’t interested in the Acoustic then why do it. The most important part of learning the guitar is keeping yourself interested and motivated. If you aren’t interested in the guitar, then you’ll have no desire to sit there for hours trying to form chords and make some type of audible sound.
My advice, get what you are most interested in. If you end up enjoying the electric, then maybe some day you’ll want to learn acoustic. A guitar is a guitar. 6 strings. Yes the electric and acoustic is different, but nearly everything you learn on acoustic will transfer to electric and vice versa.
You should try acoustic first. Even in kindergarden we hate to learn ABCs because they’re boooring, but it gets very useful in the future. You’ll probably like to play acoustic as you get hang of it.
first learn on an acoustic guitar because it’s harder to play.mostly because the strings are harder.then move to an electric guitar. i suggest an epiphone.
YES. I played acoustic for about a year before getting my first electric. Acoustic is a bit harder to play, but it will clean up your playing if you’re not relying on distortion to cover up mistakes.
