Very good review of the C-1 Plus. I’ve been looking at this guitar for 18 months now and this has been the best demonstrative review of this axe. Thank you! It looks like the price recently came down from $699 to $399 so I will definitely be purchasing this soon.

Yeah, amazing guitar. I swapped out the pups for a Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz setup and it sounds godly. Some people may think this is weird but, although that glossy finish looks great, I think it takes away from the tone definition. If there was an open-pore, light finish version, I would have my dream guitar, but still, this guitar will do pretty much any musical style.

For some reason, I like the Elite’s neck better, but I like the C-1 Plus’s extra volume nob, too. They both have their ups and downs. It would be amazing to see the C-1 Plus with a neck like the Elite’s and then also have the abalone binding around the guitar with the vector inlays. That would be a damn beautiful guitar!
It’s a Spider III. But now I have a Spider IV head that I’ll continue doing reviews with.

Should i get this or the ESP EC-1000 that you were reviewing in your other review??? i mean there is like a $500 difference between them but like is the ESP worth paying more for?
is this neck thin and “fast?”
If you’re looking for something with a thin neck that will shed, I’d probably point you to an Ibanez. This Schecter C-1 Plus has a moderate thickness to it.
There are big differences between the two guitars. It’s really your preference. The ESP has actual EMG pickups while the Schecter has Duncan Designed pickups. The weight and fretboards are different, the necks are different. Personally, I think that you could get a better deal for a price between the costs of those two guitars. LTD and Schecter both are releasing new 2010 models, so check out their websites and try some guitars out in stores.

You can get it for $399 at your local guitar store. I went to a Guitar Center and price-matched mine to American Musical Supply.
oh.. lol umm do the pinch harmonics come out good? i have a schecter omen 6 with just plain old schecter built humbuckers and the harmonics dont sound very good at all
