Last album of Jimi Hendrix was also his best: Electric Ladyland
The third and final album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience has Summer 1968 double album Electric Ladyland. This is the album that many fans of Jimi Hendrix (myself included) believe it is their true masterpiece. While their first two albums were excellent, and Electric Ladyland is a real journey of the mind blowing and that's exactly what I wanted Hendrix either.
The album begins with some voices from another world "... And the gods made love. "This lets you know exactly what type of shot in the experience for you. This is certainly not just the music means to be simply listened, music to be truly known (as the group's name refers.) music do you part, is the listener to open their minds and actually 'do the trip. "
The album has different styles in its 16 tracks (two of which at least 13 minutes). An example of these different styles of British rock is based on "Little Miss Strange (which includes bassist Noel Redding on vocals, Redding also wrote the song.) This is a cool song and if you get a idea what a rock band (like the Beatles or the Who) have been regarded with Jimi Hendrix on guitar. Another example is the blues rock of "Voodoo Chile" (which is a song different from the much more famous Slight Return ".")
"Voodoo Chile" is 15 minutes and usually starts as a blues song pretty heavy, but closed with a full shutdown of the psychedelic rock (Go about 9 minutes of the song to get an idea of what I mean.) For those who love bluesier side of Hendrix really this is a great track, very well.
And then there's the three great mix of the album begins with "Rainy Day, Dream Away" and ending with "it always rains, Still Dreaming." This is probably the most "far" from the album and given what else is on the album, which undoubtedly is saying.
Included in this mix is the original 13 "1983 (A Mermaid I Should Turn To Be)" which includes production studio albums the more adventurous.
The album also known classics like Hendrix "Crosstown Traffic," "Gypsy Eyes," "The burning of Midnight Lamp "," "All Along The Watchtower", and has been mentioned above, "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)." If you are not probably familiar with this album are the songs that already recognized elsewhere (on the radio or a "Greatest Hits" disc.)
Well definitely I'd recommend all three of their albums, I think the album is Hendrix's Electric Ladyland final. If you have not and you like the music that I've heard of Jimi Hendrix on today, then you really should listen.
