Wow!! He’s awesome.. If only he could played without hair tie like Nuno ;p
you can tell he spent a lot of time on this one. making it sound so……. beautiful! ;-;
does this vid include tabs?
@SLAPPAGEAR This vid doesnt include tabs – Andy James breaks everything down on the dvd and shows you how to play all the licks in a very easy to follow manner! Hope that helps!
@licklibrary is it slowed down to see what notes he’s playing?
@SLAPPAGEAR andy teaches the solo in sections telling you and showing you each of the notes and how each is played. Then you can string them together to create the performance above…any further questions just fire away!
my brain hurts……..
Amazing.
@purplebeefunk these guys always make me laugh like putting a hairtie on your guitar poofs you into playing like a Rock God, wish it was that simple
thanks for the boner!
his strings look like they have VERY LOW action, looks like the guitar plays nicely though and beast playing
So mais um grande guitarrista PTgues.(dos Açores DOH!!!)
Just more another big Portuguese guitarrist. (actually is from açores DOH!!)
Mixo!
@licklibrary Tuning?
Got the same Guitar. What a beast. Both, the guitar and Andy
i want to buy all andy james lessons.
do you have a dvd that only contains andy james lessons?
Just curious, Why don’t the DVD’s include tabs.
@shredfan666 The simple answer is that we legally cannot do this. The reason being is that there are very strict licensing and copyright controls concerning the production of musical notation and TAB both on printed paper and digtial media such as PDF documents.
Just wondering. I see a hair band at the top of the fretboard. Does it help the tone and does placing it on other frets have any other effect?
@scotto111c The hairband is there to mute the strings so that if you accidentally hit an open string when you’re playing, it doesn’t ring out and cause everything to sound crappy. It’s useful if you’re trying to do a fast solo run or something. A lot of bands will probably do something similar in the studio.
It would be good if you can make some video where you showing some tips with cheap guitars and amps, cause I doubt we can all aford this top gear.
@ajvanho007 Thanks for the comment, we let the tutors teach on whatever guitar they bring in, so its really down to them which ones they use and feel comfortable using. Something to bear in mind is that you dont need the top gear to learn these licks. We have many gear reviews on practice amps and different guitars within our Guitar Interactive Magazine – which might be worth a look, each review has a video. Hope that helps. If you need anymore help – then dont hestitate to ask.
I would tade my left ball for his left pinky he is insane !
Is there a section in this DVD where it explains how to defy the physics of dexterity?
I like Nuno as a player he is very unique, but when he sees Andy James doing this he must just be like… that guys better than me. James is so clean its crazy.
