   Although this website is kind of old it has some really good info for the absolute beginner (even stuff my guitar teacher never mentioned!)

   Each lesson is broken into multiple parts: Theory (how music works), Left hand technique (things to practice with your left hand), Right hand technique (things to practice with your right hand), and Music (which basically teaches you how to play simple stuff.)

   It is written for people with electric guitars, but as an acoustic player you can just ignore the stuff regarding amps.

   If you want to learn a specific song you can look up "guitar tabs". Each line represents a string, and the numbers represent the fret. The problem with tabs is that they don’t represent rhythm very well, so you’ll have to play by ear a bit.
