He recommended Ibanez RG2X1 that before someone today. I recommend to anyone, but if you are outside your price range is an excellent model GRG170DX. Ibanez guitars further solid, which are perfect for your style. The bridge pickup in this model has a very high speed for a passive humbucker (that means they are strong and clear), adding average position single-coil is a nice touch, good range of tones. Ibanez, more than other manufacturers have a true "right of the box" game to them, which requires very little to adjust the tuning. I think this is the model for others, I have suggested would be perfect for your needs. As I want to avoid starting any guitar with a system of "Floyd Rose locking tremolo, but that could be where you go, if you want to go to Avenged Sevenfold Guitar Hero School widdling type thing. But for now a good, solid, semi-rigid Ibanez's what you need.
