This creates a better quality: a better guitar or a better stage?

Right now, I have this Ibanez starter kit, except that mine came with Ibanez Gio: http://www.music123.com/Ibanez-IJM21-Mikro-Electric-Guitar-Jumpstart-Pack-500152-i1425848.Music123 amplifier and guitar are fine, but I did a little better now and I'm looking for a new guitar amp. So what would be best? a new guitar with a small 10W amp? or a new amp with my Ibanez Gio?
