   Guys, the vocal melody is as follows: 12 fret E string twice, 11 fret A string twice, 12 fret A string twice, 14 fret A string once, 12h14 D string.

   14 fret D string 12 fret D string twice, 10 fret D string, 12 fret A string, 11 fret A string, 12 fret E string.

    Your version sounds good, but Iommi uses an open E drone to start the song and for some of the opening chord changes. Two of the fills uses open strings, not at the 12th fret position. The beginning of the solo uses an open A drone, not octaves. It sounds a little different.

    To some people in the comments, Tony probably only plays it on the E string just because of his finger injury. I think a lot of people probably find it easier to play in the position Marty is playing in.

    Correction: The solo opening is sliding up and down the A string while playing an open E drone. Thats how Iommi plays it, a unique humming sound.

    @Makoman2008 marty is playing in standard (E) here. thats how it is on the record, but tony iommi started tuning down from E to C# later to ease the tension on his fingers. here is E: /watch?v=_4cx1pk0P3o
