How Do You Get an Electric Guitar "Set Up"?
I ordered an Epiphone SG G400 as my 1st guitar and on many online reviews it says to "get this guitar set up after you get it". What exactly does that mean? Do I take it to Guitar Center and tell them to set it up or what?

They just mean the string height, the intonation, and possibly the nut. If it’s your first guitar you probably don’t have to worry much, as the people saying to set it up right away probably have been playing a while and have specific ways they want the guitar to feel.
It’s always a good idea to have a new guitar adjusted (string height, intonation, etc), especially if you ordered it and haven’t actually played it yet. It’s inexpensive and any guitar shop that does repairs should be able to do it.
