Hey Im Buying an Electric Guitar and Im New?
So yeah...Can u tell me some information and how many strings r in electric guitar is it the same thing as acoustic guitar? because my friend is buying an acoustic guitar can we play the same songs? can u tell me where to learn playing guitar online?

6 strings and you can play the same songs but do yourself a favor and take 6-8 lessons. you will learn the proper way to play before you develop bad habits that will be tough to break
Most guitars have 6 strings, both acoustic and electric. I wouldn’t recommend you play any other number of strings as a beginner.
Whether or not you and your friend can play the same songs will depend on how you amplify your electric. Too much distortion will make playing the way he plays sound horrible. The other difference is that the higher frets on the neck(higher pitched notes) are easier to get to on most electrics, so your friend won’t be able to play certain solos on his acoustic.
There are loads of instructional videos on YouTube, but I would still recommend a live instructor.
