Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar Restringing
Guitar restringing asks if anyone can help me?
Hello People, I am the first of my channels on my black and white Fender Squier electric guitar Stratocaster the way suggested to do (with a cut box, then open the rear panel of the guitar and use tongs to move across the strings behind the guitar). I made a mistake at the start and with a screwdriver I took the screws on the metal bridge of the guitar where the son of power through the front of the guitar. As I said I did it by mistake and back when he first arrived, but now I wonder if loosening the screws and screw them might have an impact on the tone of the guitar when you get to put new strings on the guitar? Is this the case or is acceptable provided that all bolts are back where they came from? Thanks in advance Dave United United
There are a number of living here, so it's a bit difficult to answer some yes / no. I suspect that this is no big screws in the block tremolo (as it is a guitar with a vibrato / tremolo unit)? They are a bit difficult to remove and reinstall without removing the springs, etc. From what I know are also non-vibrato (fixed bridge) version of the squire. If you remove the screws on the bridge and back on automatically return to its original position. Then you have the screws on the individual chairs. If you removed that stays in place and slides both ways - then you will need more work proposal for the right hand. The change from front to rear used for the intonation of each string and use a good tuner (or ears very well) to get this right. If not, play guitar badly. Oh, and I put the spring back into ... Then you have the small (usually black) Allen screws that are drilled from above down on the chair. They are used to adjust the height of each string. Since you are using an Allen wrench to adjust the small, I have understood that are left intact? From New to this, obviously - the best thing you can do is take the guitar to a reputable dealer and have it checked by intonation and other issues that potentially could have occurred.
