It it says “Standard” – It’s Mexican.
“American Standard” is the US line.
There’s also the “American Special” line that is cheaper and made in the US.

Yes, this is the 2009 Fender Standard Strat made in Mexico. The guitar sells for about $499 US.

@theBabystache This sound is a combination of the bridge and neck pickup. The selector switch is in the second position. Volume, and Tone are full up. If you play with your fingers instead of a pick, you will get that “snapping”sound pulling on the strings.
