Electric Guitar Identify

My electric guitar's treble pickup is screwed up. i think.?
I have an epiphone special II stock (no modifications)and i was practicing some songs on it, i turned off my amp i was using and then attempted to practice again.
when i did for the second time, the amps volume dropped very significantly and there was a really small amount of distortion and when i put it on clean and it was barely making a sound on treble and combined guitar channels.
i thought it was my amp when i realized when i put my special II on my rhythm channel, and it was loud again on both overdrive and clean channels.
What is wrong with my treble pick up, and if you can identify the problem and how to fix it without replacing it, it would be high appreciated.
Hello! The first thing to check would be the pickup selector switch. Unscrew the inspection plate to gain access to the back of the switch. Check to make sure the contact points are all working correctly, and are clean. Use a Q-Tip and alcohol to remove any residue, and check that the contacts are closing in each of the three positions. Inspect the wiring, too; you want to ensure that nothing has come loose from the switch terminals. If you are doing a lot of Tom DeLonge killswitch maneuvers, the contacts may have worn out, requiring switch replacement. I doubt that your pickup has gone bad, as they will generally take quite a bit of abuse before needing attention. My guess is that either the switch or a failed solder joint is the culprit.
