not to burst your bubble but I highly recommend a sound. mainly because they are easier to hear without an amp and believe me, if you living with someone they do want to hear constant plunking on an amplifier ... It does not sound as cool, but are much more flexible ... and I recommend an ibanez ... a bit expensive guitars and very good:)
