The best way to learn the electric guitar?

I need a beginners guide to the electric guitar is usable. I spent all night searching the internet for something, but all guides are beginning to life, and I'm still trying to figure out how am I supposed to keep the selection and, which involves putting your fingers on the frets. Any website or books (pay or free) would be greatly appreciated.
