well see the reason why i ask is cause i just got my rr24 like a few days ago and the fretboard is sticky as hell man and i’m not sure why. it may just be cause it has been so damn humid last few days but ya i wasn’t sure if like the ebony fretboard was just like that or what Im stumped any ways sweet playin dude
alexi laiho has stolen the ending part of the solo from Malmsteen’s far beyond the sun end.
@MrEllinaras
Thanks for the info!
It does sound preety much identical
tab?
Nice fucking guitar!! and nice tone
…that was awesome
wow
@MrEllinaras at least it was a nice theft.. but, what can i expect? it’s alexi:) everything he does is awesome
@MrEllinaras ya lol , well good musician borrow , and great musician steal
its wierd how you look like Henkka =O btw nice cover
@WildKoolAid13 No doubt alexi is genious and writes or at least wrote very good music.
But it seems that he liked far beyond the sun’s end very much and he “borrowed” it, as you said. xD
@MrEllinaras xD ya i guess lol
Wish you’d mute the guitar tack in the guitar pro file. Can barely even make out your guitar sound =/
@Vylathas
How long you been playing? sweet sweeps man!
cool stuff, guitar is also beautiful
Is that guitar good? I like it a lot? But what’s with guitar action? Is it low enough cause i have that problem with my current guitar. Strings are pretty much fasr from the neck and if I lower ‘em i get buzz. And also i am interested if one pick-up is enough? I mean guitars usually have neck pick-up for leads. But having only a brodge pick up is actually improving your skills cause u have to be very clean to get right sound? Am I right? Please Answer. Thanks.
@MrEllinaras I guess he also stole all the notes used in the song since they’ve been used in other songs as well.
Dumb fuck.
@MagusGod dude MrEllinaras is correct, the1st time i heard the nail i knew the ending was the same as far beyond the sun… a lot of Alexi’s riffs are not original, like Black Widow- red light pt 1&2- bodom after midnight ect, these songs too feature riffs that Alexi didn’t write, i wouldnt say he stole them because he openly admits that they are not original… so you really shouldnt be calling him a “dumb fuck” because he is 100% correct
@6EELZE6U6666 The Bach was blatant and intentional.
The Yngwie riff, no.
Yngwie’s stuff isn’t that original, because all he does is ARPEGGIOS.
@MagusGod well i wouldn’t say that all Yngwie does is arpeggios… i think Yngwie is one the best guitarist of all time, he excels in pretty much every guitar technique, in fact Yngwie doesn’t really sweep all that much, not as much as Alexi Laiho… i’d say thats a very naive statement, Yngwie burns scales much more than he plays arpeggios (sweeping or otherwise), well anyway he is a far better musician than Alexi (overrated) Laiho , and the ending is a blatant rip off intentional or not…
@6EELZE6U6666 Uhhhh apparently you haven’t watched Yngwie all that much.
One of his main shredding techniques is sweeping.
You don’t know what your’e talking about.
@MagusGod Yngwie is probably my favourite solo guitarist, and yes he sweeps, but thats not ALL he does… what is the point you are trying to make here? listen to both endings, they are remarkably similar
man i have a question for you…do you get a better sound on sweeping and soloing with the jackson pickup than you get with the emg?? by the way just awesome cover!!
Thanks
There is a small difference since the emg81 gives lots of distortion and the J50bc doesen’t.. but I have the je-1000 preamp with the j50bc pickup so it evens out
@whitetower94
@MrEllinaras Alexi was like 19 when they released that album right? Malmsteen was a huge influence to him…cut him some slack..this song is still pretty epic..I like to think he looked more at Bach than Malmsteen for this song
