innovative, and no one else has been able to write a guitar piece like this. So many bands and players claim to be ‘neoclassical’ but Speed Metal Symphony, Concerto, Air and Forbidden City really separate the men from the boys
@Dtyler171 You apparently think that faster means better. Hendrix’ s music touches one’s soul much deeper than this stuff. Yes, this is good piece, but don’t put some guys who couldn’t do any of modern licks if Hendrix didn’t invent them over the master.
@qbalegaq I’m not knocking Hendrix’s style I liked it. But most of those who give his music praise wouldn’t know a good guitar player if one fell out of the sky, landed on their face, and started to wiggle.
@landon460 i agree about the rory thing, but you cant compare guitarist from 60′s with a modern guitarists, sure that malmsteen for example is technically million times better but his music is pointless and unlistenable, like i said hendrix music actually had some meaning unlike all this neo-classical generic shit
@qbalegaq Hendrix suited the trend of the time. He was a great guitar player. But you know, music is subjective, there is no best, no most emotional – its down to the individual. From your logic, you could say that Paganini, Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Chopin also had no feeling becasue they wrote fast compositions.
@proteoid It has nothing to do with speed, Paganini,Bach,Mozart and Vivaldi were all geniuses. I can’t see any emotions or feelings in music like this. Oh but I love fast stuff, type Razor – High speed metal to see what i mean.
@qbalegaq I’ll check Razor out, but do something for me too in return – check out a track called ‘Jewel’ by Becker and Friedman – if you don’t find emotion or feelings in that, then you are an unbreakable individual !
@proteoid Man I know Becker and Friedman (from Megadeth) for a long time, amazing guitarists, but I just don’t like most of their music. I definitely prefer tracks like Jewel to tracks like this. But somehow I got the impression that they are generally more concerned about showing off how good they play, then songwriting. I find all that fast neo-classical shit too hard to listen. It sounds really irritating to me.

@impellitarian if that’s true why are you arguing with him.
cool 0.00 – 9.31
@caranauba Who’s arguing? If i was arguing, I would have used swearing. I’m just saying this, to discuss with a man with another opinion.
@impellitarian you should look up the word “argue”
@landon460 hendrix music actually had some meaning unlike all this neo-classical gay generic bullshit

@zizzytop97 Yes good songs, you don’t need to tell me.
