I think it’s beacause of the sound quality.

they actually sound quite good on mahogany, I’d say even better than the Duncan Designed,but when they were in those cheap guitar woods they sound quite dry
really crunchy on distortion,but really muddy on clean

Well I meant the sound quality of this _video_ not the quality of those BDSM pickups.
But yeah I have tested duncan designed on 300-400€ jackson and I didn’t liked the sound very much. I believe that those BDSM pickups are quite good.
