where in our attic while trying to clean, you probably bought a sale years garage or flea market. appreciate any knowledge you may have in this regard, such as quality and value. Gilbert is characterized and is an acoustic guitar / Electrical, interior label says Gilbert W-240 model, the appearance of an acoustic guitar wood, but has two buttons on the front and a place where a cable is attached. Appears to be in good condition (except the strings). Thanks for any help. Already checked Google and other search engines without success, so I turned to Yahoo Answers.

Acoustic Electric changes in the value board - but the sound is the kicker and the electrical components to get a better guitar is more recent. I suspect that is a low-end guitar (I've dealt with millions of dollars of gear used per year for several years), I can the two volume buttons and the tone should be, which is bottom settings (if you have an equalizer), and which are not suspect that the timber may be a component of nuts or the accessory (the W in the model name) can be distinguished by the color of the wood (walnut is dark enough, and less expensive than rosewood - which is more than the very dark chocolate brown). 240, BTW, is a number model so low, at a time when the guitars are generally higher number = more expensive. I can be wrong, and would have to see and hear the guitar, but otherwise you can do is find a country label or tag Parents, and a serial number. That said, if the guitar is in good condition and plays well, go to Gbase.com interrogation.
