acoustic-electric guitars are cool, and very, very common in the music industry
its just a regular acoustic guitar, but it has a microphone built inside of it that can be transmitted to an amplifier
so yes, it will play just like an acoustic guitar. and when you do hook up to an amp, it will project the acoustic sound. it WILL NOT sound like an electric guitar, if thats what you are thinking
yes, they are very good for beginners
as far as i know, it is known as a half-acoustic guitar, it pretty much sounds as a regular acoustic guitar , but the sound gets amplified, so it can be used in bands and such
i would just buy a normal one
As a beginner, you do not want an acoustic/electric guitar. It will project a normal acoustic sound, along with being able to have it amplified when plugged in. However adding effects such as distortion will make the guitar sound poorly when plugged in. When deciding on a guitar that’s right for you to start learning, it is important that you determine what type of music you will be playing. For example, acoustic songs do not sound the same on electric guitar (however it is possible to mimic that sound to a certain degree, but it’s not as "pure" sounding.) and vise versa.
no, an acoustic electric is a bad idea for a beginner. Start out with an acoustic, semi-acoustics are used so you can play an acoustic song with a band in a concert. seeing as your a beginner you don’t need one yet.
google it
Sounds acoustic when not plugged in and project an acoustic sound when plugged in. If you’re a beginner just get yourself a squire strat
